Gerri Smith as Vera Lynn

Gerri with Winston Churchill
Gerri as Vera Lynn

During her appearances all over the country Gerri is often mistaken for the real Vera, not surprising since she not only looks like her but sounds like her.

One charming veteran of WW11 asked whether she remembered him flying her to Southern Italy in 1943. Gerri considers this a compliment despite being considerable younger than the real Dame Vera.

Gerri has performed as Vera Lynn all over the country. During the VE and VJ celebrations in 1995 she appeared at The Imperial War Museum, St.David’s Hall Cardiff, The Taliesin Theatre, Swansea, Hammersmith Town Hall, London and many many more. Corporate Clients include British American Tobacco, Moyles Marketing, Veritas, American Express, ICL , Glaxo Wellcome, Kraft Suchards etc.
